Jersey: Carey Olsen Shortlisted For The Lawyer Awards
Last Updated: 12 May 2017

Carey Olsen has been shortlisted for Offshore Firm of the Year in The 2017 Lawyer Awards.

Now in its 23rd year, the annual awards are organised by leading legal title The Lawyer to reward best practice and champion excellence across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry.

Submissions from 220 organisations have been grouped into 27 categories and the shortlists are drawn up by a high calibre judging panel that comprises prominent figures from the legal profession, ranging from general counsel in public companies to senior private practice lawyers and QCs.

We won the category in 2014 on the strength of our ground-breaking work in relation to the Tchenguiz Discretionary Trust, one of the largest contentious trust insolvency disputes of recent years.

Group managing partner, Alex Ohlsson, said: "Our nomination in the prestigious Lawyer Awards comes on the back of a very positive year for the firm with the opening of our second Asia office and strong growth across the group.

"First and foremost it is testament to the dedicated service and expertise of our lawyers and the strength of our client relationships."

The Lawyer Awards 2017 will take place on Tuesday 27 June at the Grovesnor House Hotel, London.
