United States: Morris Ellison Talks Mobility Revolution And Autonomous Cars At DIG South
Last Updated: May 8 2017

Womble Carlyle continued its push into the mobility revolution and autonomous vehicle development last week with Morris Ellison discussing the revolution at DIG South's Innovation Conference (ICON) in Charleston, S.C. Ellison shared a panel with Patrick Kirby, Managing Director of Michelin's Innovation Incubator, and Joachim Taiber, Chief Technology Officer with the International Transportation Innovation Center. The panelists shared their thoughts on how advances in mobile technology and vehicles driven by artificial intelligence will impact trade, regulation, commercial real estate and cities among other topics.

"The digitization of retail is only one of the major disruptions impacting mobility and commercial real estate," Ellison said. "Fundamental change is not just coming to transportation, commercial real estate and economic development.  It is here now."

Ellison has become a featured contributor on the subject of autonomous vehicles. In March, he presented at the 8th Annual AmCham Germany Business Day in Atlanta and he will follow up DIG South with several additional engagements including speaking at a meeting at Clemson's CUICAR facility in Greenville later this week.

About 3,000 people were expected to attend the DIG South conference this year, marking the event's fifth anniversary. The goal of ICON is to promote the tech industry in the Southeast by bringing together businesses, investors and thought-leaders.
