United States: Holland & Knight Sponsoring North America School Of Aviation Finance 2017

Holland & Knight's Aircraft Finance Team is sponsoring and participating in Euromoney's North America School of Aviation Finance May 10-12 in New York City. The School's other sponsors include Citi and One Jet Inc., with additional speakers from the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Goldman Sachs, Plane View Partners, Moody's Investors Service, Clinch River Capital Partners, Aircastle, Rotortrade Services Pte Ltd, AirTrav Inc. and Boeing Capital Corporation. John F. Pritchard, global chair of Holland & Knight's Aircraft Finance practice, is co-director of the school and will be speaking on two panels in the Sources of Funding module taking place on Day One of the School, May 10. Mr. Pritchard will present a Market Overview as well as direct the Case Study: Teams and Explanations session, where he'll be joined by New York-based finance partner Richard Furey. Fred Bass, New York-based Aircraft Finance partner, will also participate on Day One, speaking as part of the Case Study of Commercial Aviation-related Secured Debt Transactions in the Capital Markets panel.

Operating Leasing is the focus of Day Two on May 11, with a number of Holland & Knight Aircraft Finance partners presenting on their various areas of knowledge and experience. San Francisco-based Audrey Sung and Richard Furey will jointly present two panels: Operating Leases: Explanation and Update; and Lessor – Lessee/Seller – Purchaser's Views on the Process of Aircraft Deliveries and Returns. John Pritchard will lead a session on the Effects of the Cape Town Convention on Daily Aircraft and Engine Finance, and will co-present on a panel with Richard Furey and New York-based tax partner Richard Crowley on Transaction Structures, Documentation and the Principles of Tax Based-Leasing.

Asset Management and Restructuring is the focus of Day Three on May 12. James Rollins, Holland & Knight Bankruptcy partner based in Atlanta, is featured with San Francisco-based Aircraft Finance Partner William Piels on the What Happens When It All Goes Wrong? (US Market) panel. Aviation litigator Marc Antonecchia of our New York office will participate in the Restructuring/Repossession Case Study session.
