Last Updated: April 12 2017

Pryor Cashman Partner Ronald B. Kremnitzer, Co-Chair of the firm's nationally-recognized Real Estate Group, and Partner Benjamin J. Teig represented Mari Makan LLC in a deal to lease a 2,000 square foot space from RJHWONG, LLC, located at 20 Spring Street in Manhattan's NoLIta neighborhood. The transaction closed on April 11, 2017.

The location will operate as a new restaurant, which includes ground floor as well as basement space. The food served will be an influence of Indonesian cuisine with modern American style.

Mari Makan is owned by Ezra William, Cedric Vongerichten (son of the chef and restauranteur Jean-George Vongerichten) and Ochi Vongerichten. This is their first project together. Cedric Vongerichten is the Chef de Cuisine at Perry St in the West Village.

James Famularo and Jeff Geoghegan of Eastern Consolidated brokered the transaction. The landlord was represented by Howard Stern, Esq.

Pryor Cashman Partner Richard S. Frazer, Co-Chair of the firm's Restaurant, Food + Beverage practice, assisted in this transaction, along with Lawrence Haut and Joseph Ginsberg of Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP.
