UK: Completion Of Phase 2 Of The Bradford Building Schools For The Future Scheme
Last Updated: 24 November 2008

Shadbolt LLP has advised the Costain - Ferrovial Agroman Joint Venture on the second phase of the Bradford BSF programme.

The £40 million deal will involve the build of three new primary schools in Bradford under the Government's BSF programme. The deal is a collaboration with Bradford Metropolitan District Council and the Integrated Bradford Local Education Partnership.

Work has already commenced on these schools under early works agreements and is scheduled to be completed during 2009/2010. Phase 1 of the scheme completed in December 2006, with Shadbolt advising the same joint venture. Then it was only the third BSF scheme to close in the UK.

Commenting on the deal Daniel Tain at Shadbolt said: "We are delighted to have closed this scheme with Costain and Ferrovial Agroman, particularly as it is the second wave of a scheme that will see seven new schools built."

Costain chief executive Andrew Wyllie said: "We are delighted to be awarded the next phase of this exciting BSF contract. Education is an important sector for Costain and this award reinforces our strategy to focus on repeat order work with key customers."
