Australia: Clayton Utz congratulates clients shortlisted for global accolades at prestigious 2017 Partnership Awards

Sydney, 06 March 2017: Clayton Utz congratulates clients Macquarie Capital, Plenary Group and Cintra on being shortlisted for global accolades at the prestigious 2017 Partnership Awards. Our three clients were named finalists in their respective categories of Financial Adviser of the Year, Sponsor/Developer of the Year and SPV Management Company of the Year.

Clayton Utz is also a finalist for the Legal Adviser of the Year Award, and is advising on five of just 40 projects worldwide that are shortlisted for awards across seven categories:

Best Operational Project

Darling Harbour Live, International Convention Centre - Adviser to Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority and Infrastructure NSW on the over $2 billion revitalisation of the convention, exhibition and entertainment facilities in Sydney's Darling Harbour; Lead partners: Stuart Cosgriff and Gary Best

Best Transit Project

Capital Metro PPP - Adviser to Capital Metro Agency on the $939 million new light rail system in Canberra; Lead partner: Jo Pugsley High Capacity Metro Trains - Adviser to Evolution Rail (Downer Rail, CRRC and Plenary) on the $2 billion project to deliver 65 high capacity trains and two maintenance facilities for Melbourne's rail network; Lead partner: Marcus Davenport

Best Road Project

WestConnex Stage 2 - Adviser to the NSW Government's Roads and Maritime Services for the $5.3 billion Stage 2 of the WestConnex motorway program to be delivered in Sydney; Lead partners: Stuart Cosgriff and David Wilkie

Clayton Utz Deputy Chief Executive Partner Bruce Cooper said the nominations reflected the size, scope and complexity of many of the projects the firm advised on.
