Last Updated: 4 March 2017

Congratulations to Malcolm Gittoes-Caesar who has been announced as a Finalist in the Lawyer's Weekly Partner of the Year Awards in the category of 'Family Law Partner of the Year'.

Malcolm is a Principal and Head of our growing Family Law team. An Accredited Specialist with over 15 years' experience in legal practice, Malcolm has significantly grown the firm's Family Law team in the three years he has been at the helm.

The Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards recognise outstanding performance by partners in law firms across a range of categories. The Family Law category is specifically for a "partner (or partner equivalent) who has navigated their client through complex relationships and emotionally charged situations...including, but not limited to, divorce, surrogacy, adoption, domestic violence and missing children."

In addition to his expertise in working across a broad range of complex family law matters, in particular parenting issues, Malcolm is adept at resolving the most complicated cases with efficiency and aptitude. A strong communicator, Malcolm takes the time to break down the complexities of matters into easily understandable steps for clients. He is also a passionate mental health advocate and this is evident in his holistic approach to the wellbeing of clients and staff alike.

A firm believer in professional development, and the importance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance, Malcolm regularly mentors a number of staff within the firm – from cadets through to fellow lawyers.

A member of the Specialist Accreditation Family Law Advisory Committee, Malcolm assists and oversees other family lawyers in gaining their accreditation. He regularly shares his knowledge with the community through briefings, delivery of CLEs and articles.

Malcolm also assists South West Legal Service pro bono and provides legal advice to women who utilise the services of The Sanctuary, a women's shelter in The Hills.

The firm would like to wish Malcolm the very best of luck for the remainder of the judging process. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Friday, 28 April in Sydney.
