Australia: New Principal joins Coleman Greig Lawyers' growing Family Law practice
Last Updated: 4 March 2017

A new Family Law Principal has joined Coleman Greig Lawyers, Western Sydney's leading law firm. Adam West, formerly of Slater + Gordon Penrith, was officially welcomed into the firm's Family Law team on 1 March.

An Accredited Specialist, Adam brings more than a decade of experience in complex family law matters to the firm including property disputes, parenting arrangements and recovery applications.

He has experience representing clients in a variety of jurisdictions including the Family Court of Australia; the Federal Circuit Court; Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales; and the Social Security Appeals Tribunal.

Warrick McLean, Chief Executive Officer, Coleman Greig, said that Adam's appointment comes at an exciting time for the firm.

"Adam's skills and expertise enable us to continue developing this rapidly expanding practice area.

"His reputation within the community and professional yet empathetic approach with clients is a real asset to the firm, and we look forward to Adam complementing the existing talent within our team."

Adam's move cements the firm's Family Law team as a force to be reckoned with, following their rapid expansion in the last 12 months, almost doubling in size from 2015.

Adam has previously spent seven years as a Co-Director at Cox West Lawyers in Penrith. He has also sat on the Legal Aid Commission of NSW Panel for Family Law Solicitors, representing clients who receive legal aid funding, and has done pro bono work through the Hawkesbury Nepean Legal Centre.

Adam will work out of the firm's two offices in Parramatta-CBD and Norwest Business Park.
