United States: Kirsch And Warenzak Continue To Teach Law School IP Classes
Last Updated: February 24 2017

Greg Kirsch, SGR partner and Head of the firm's Intellectual Property Department, will once again be teaching his "Intellectual Property Protection for Computer Software" class as an adjunct professor at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, during the weekend of February 24-26, 2017.  Kirsch has been teaching this class annually since 2011, and the class focuses on how computer software may be protected with intellectual property (IP) laws in the US and internationally, and how this IP protection may be exploited and enforced.  The class is taught to approx. 40 2nd and 3rd year law students, as well as MBA students, over a long weekend, and is organized in an interactive format, involving in-class debates, guest lecturers and case studies.

Kirsch has also served as an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta since 1997, where he has co-taught various patent classes, including most recently a "Patent Practice and Procedure" class during the Spring of 2016.  Kirsch will co-teach this class again during the Spring of 2018.

SGR IP partner Matt Warenzak teaches a similar Patent Practice and Procedure class at the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, most recently teaching the class during the Fall of 2016.
