Ogletree Deakins is pleased to announce the addition of the following business immigration attorney:

Awanti Damle has joined the Raleigh office as an associate. She comes to Ogletree Deakins from an international agriculture company where she drafted a broad range of transactional agreements as a legal consultant. As a new associate, her practice will focus on assisting businesses in obtaining U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for their foreign national employees. She will also assist in visa applications for outstanding professors and researchers, executives, and foreign nationals with extraordinary abilities. Awanti earned her J.D. from Campbell University and excelled in legal research and writing. During law school, she gained experience while interning with the Legal Aid of North Carolina's Battered Immigrant Project where she assisted in non-immigrant U visa matters. Awanti went to UNC-Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies and double majored in Business Administration and Spanish.
