United States: Andy Kerr Receives Prestigious Lee Cusenbary Ethical Life Award
Last Updated: October 14 2016

Strasburger & Price LLP congratulates San Antonio partner, Andrew L. Kerr who was honored with the Lee Cusenbary Ethical Life Award at last night's annual Ethics Follies® presented by The Association of Corporate Counsel, South/Central Texas Chapter (ACC). According to the ACC's Ethics Follies® website, the award honors "one in-house lawyer or legal department and one private lawyer or law firm that exemplify ideal or exceptionally ethical behavior in the practice of law."

"We are very proud of Andy for being honored with this prestigious award. I cannot think of another lawyer who better exemplifies exceptionally ethical behavior in his or her law practice," noted Marty Roos, partner in charge of Strasburger's San Antonio office. "He leads by example in demonstrating how determined advocacy can go hand-in-hand with a commitment to ethical dealings with clients, opposing counsel and the judiciary. The firm refers to this sentiment as The Strasburger Way, and that mantra is the cornerstone of all our actions."

Kerr maintains an active trial docket and has prosecuted and defended numerous lawsuits in state, federal and bankruptcy courts in his more than 35 years of practice. He has handled a wide range of cases, including disputes involving banking, oil and gas operations, agreements and leases, surface and subsurface damages and environmental contamination, real property, contracts, partnership and corporate issues, accounting malpractice, franchise and distributor relationships, premises liability, products liability, will contests, breach of fiduciary duty, antitrust violations, and construction. Best Lawyers® recently named him San Antonio's Litigation Banking and Finance Lawyer of the Year.

The ACC created the Ethics Follies® in 2006 to involve legal professionals in presenting ethics education in an entertaining and memorable way. Bar associations around the country use recordings of the program to educate their members. Those who have seen the presentation remark that the ethics information they gain in such a fun, entertaining format stays with them much longer than material from seminars or books.
