United States: Partner Paul Sander Is A “BigWig” Supporting Breast Cancer Fight
Last Updated: September 22 2016

Paul B. Sander, partner-in-charge of Strasburger's Collin County office, recently donned a hair-raising bright pink wig in support of Susan G. Komen North Texas' BigWig fundraising initiative. The BigWig program recruits community leaders who commit to raise at least $1,000 or more from September 15 through October 31, 2016. Their goal is to raise awareness and funds in the local fight against breast cancer. This year's BigWigs are:  Telvin Jeffries, Founder and CEO of Careergistics; Kathy Jumper, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of InTouch Credit Union; Pamela Mims, Director of Sales at Cambria Hotel & Suites in Plano-Frisco; John M. Palms, Jr., Chairman, President and CEO of Bibbentuckers, LLC; Stephanie Roberts, Sander; Rusty Smith, Vice President and General Manager of Neiman Marcus Willow Bend; and Barb Barton Weiszhaar, head of tax at HP Inc.

Sander, who lost his paternal grandmother to breast cancer says, "The cause has been an important one for my family for a long time. The work Susan G. Komen North Texas and its volunteers do is making a difference in finding a cure for this disease. I am proud to participate in the BigWigs campaign."

According to Susan G. Komen North Texas's website, the funds raised will "be used to ensure access to essential breast health services and education programs, and support research to find the cures for breast cancer. Through this program, 75 percent of funds raised remain in local communities to help fund local breast cancer initiatives and 25 percent will be invested in national scientific research."

Since 1982, Susan G. Komen, the world's largest nonprofit funder of breast cancer research, has funded more than $889 million in research, more than $1.95 billion in medical care, community and provider education and psychosocial support. This funding has served millions in more than 60 countries.

Strasburger is proud to support Sander and his fellow "BigWigs" along with the thousands of other who volunteer their efforts on behalf of Susan G. Komen North Texas and the goal to end breast cancer. If you would like to assist Sander in his efforts, you can donate via his page here.
