United States: Duane Morris Names Thirteen Attorneys To Partnership

PHILADELPHIA, January 17, 2007 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that it has named ten associates and three special counsel to the firm partnership. The newly promoted partners are located across six offices nationwide. The new partnerships are effective January 1, 2007.

Newly named partners in the Trial Practice Group are Lauren DeBruicker and James Steigerwald in Philadelphia; Patricia Rich and Robert Zaffrann in Boston; Ryan Walsh in Atlanta; Peter Ackerman in Los Angeles; Lina Brenner in San Francisco and Edward Cramp in San Diego. In the Corporate Practice Group, James Mercer in San Diego and Daniel Pierce in Boston have been named. In the Employment & Immigration Practice Group the newly named partners are Timothy Moppin in San Francisco and Bronwyn Roberts in Boston. Mairi Luce in the Business Reorganization and Financial Restructuring Practice Group in Philadelphia has been promoted as well.

Peter Ackerman practices in the area of litigation with concentrations in commercial and insurance coverage matters. He has broad experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, including lead roles in numerous trials, arbitrations and appeals.

Lina Brenner focuses her practice on commercial and intellectual property litigation, both trial and appellate. She also specializes in providing advice and counsel on a variety of pre-litigation issues, including trademark and copyright registrations, technology contract formation and breaches, infringement analyses, employer ownership of creative work product, and informal resolution of disputes over intellectual property and other assets.

Edward Cramp is a business litigator specializing in complex commercial and employment litigation. He represents and advises businesses, in particular private postsecondary schools, on matters relating to employment, contract claims, theft of trade secrets, unfair competition, and consumer claims.

Lauren DeBruicker practices in the areas of commercial and insurance coverage litigation, with an emphasis on matters involving intellectual property.

Mairi Luce practices in the areas of bankruptcy law, corporate reorganization, creditors' rights, out of court workouts and complex commercial reorganizations. She also represents numerous commercial banks, insurance companies and other commercial financing institutions in secured lending, asset-based lending, securitization, leasing and credit enhancement transactions, and other types of commercial transactions.

James Mercer practices in the area of corporate law with an emphasis in securities and mergers and acquisitions. His practice includes assisting clients in a variety of finance transactions, including private placements, venture capital rounds, IPOs, PIPEs and secondary offerings.

Timothy Moppin practices in the areas of employment law and litigation, environmental law and litigation, commercial/business litigation and construction defects litigation. His employment law practice focuses primarily on the representation of management in all aspects of employment litigation and related substantive areas of employment law.

Daniel Pierce practices in the areas of corporate and intellectual property law. He represents clients in various business transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments and commercial lending transactions.

Patricia Rich practices in the area of commercial, business, healthcare, intellectual property, and disability and life insurance defense litigation. She represents clients in contract and business disputes, unfair and deceptive trade practice cases, trademark, patent and copyright infringement matters, and in resolving disputes with healthcare payors.

Bronwyn Roberts practices in the areas of employment law and commercial litigation. She has successfully represented clients in a wide range of matters, including non-competition agreements, gender discrimination and disability discrimination. She has also defended claims of negligence and breach of warranty, as well as claims brought by the Department of Labor.

James Steigerwald represents clients nationally in complex commercial litigation and has significant experience with distribution and franchise litigation, commercial real estate disputes, antitrust law, intellectual property issues and commercial fraud.

Ryan Walsh practices in the area of complex commercial litigation with a particular focus on intellectual property. His practice includes litigation involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, and unfair competition and entertainment issues as well as franchising and distributorship disputes.

Robert Zaffrann practices in the areas of commercial and complex tort litigation. He has represented clients in matters of medical malpractice and personal injury, and has litigated a wide range of commercial matters.
