Last Updated: August 19 2016

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher P. Beall has joined the firm in the New York and Denver offices as a partner in the Intellectual Property Department.

Beall is an accomplished trial attorney who represents publishing, news, entertainment and other media clients in intellectual property issues, as well as in traditional media tort defense and First Amendment access and civil rights matters. He has litigated copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, libel and civil rights cases in federal and state courts throughout the country.

"We are very excited to welcome Chris to the firm," said Michael I. Slapo, Fox's New York office managing partner. "His practice and his depth of experience will greatly enhance our media law bench and bolster our strong IP capabilities in both the New York and Denver offices."

Praised for his legal acumen, Beall is described in Chambers USA as a "very acute trademark litigator" and "a trademark and copyright law expert." He has extensive trial experience, in both bench and jury trials ranging from copyright infringement to civil rights claims, with six cases tried to verdict in the past seven years.

Beall teaches copyright and trademark law at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law and is a frequent speaker on First Amendment and copyright issues involving the news media.

Beall earned his J.D. from the Duke Law School and his B.A. from Yale University.

Prior to joining Fox, Beall was a partner Levine Sullivan Kock & Schulz, LLP.
