Join guest speaker Professor Bryan Horrigan, Dean of the Monash Univesity Faculty of Law to discuss the latest developments in contract and good faith, as well as untested issues and potential of the law on unconscionable conduct in business and consumer contexts.

As a senior academic and consultant to law firms and governments, he has more than 20 years of academic and practical experience in various aspects of public and corporate law and governance.

Professor Horrigan will cover:

  • Recent Anglo-Commonwealth changes in judicial and regulatory treatment of good faith
  • Current position on the meaning and limits of good faith in Australian law
  • Implications for contractual negotiation, performance, and dispute resolution
  • Transactional significance for standard contracts for business, consumers, and franchising
  • Relationship between contractual good faith and unconscionable business conduct
