UK: Casualty Notice: “GEIYO K.”

We have received reports that the " GEIYO K. ", a 2011 built bulk carrier flying the Marshall Islands flag, remains aground off Fukuyama. The location is lat 34 25 50N long 133 39 57 E.

It is carrying a cargo loaded in Japanese ports and was bound for the USA.

The vessel has been aground for some time and professional assistance is likely to be required.

It is also possible that General Average will be declared.

So far as any recovery is concerned, we have identified the vessel's P&I Club.
