British Virgin Islands: Ogier Donates Laptops To Students At Joyce Samuel Primary School
Last Updated: 8 July 2016

The top 5 leavers at Joyce Samuel Primary School's were awarded laptops donated by Ogier at the BVI school's recent exit ceremony.

Ogier also donated a $200 gift certificate to 9 classes, each to be used to help with buying supplies and teaching aids for next term.

Ogier's Ray Wearmouth, Michael Killourhy, Jaynene Jno-Smith and Decoy Mactavious, all attended the ceremony on 28th June, as did representatives from the BVI Ministry of Education.

Partner Michael Killourhy said: "It was a pleasure for us to participate in the exit ceremony. We continue to enjoy working with the principal and teachers as they foster a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to stride for excellence: mind, body and soul."

Ogier officially adopted Joyce Samuel School in 2010. Since then the law firm has funded a new PA system, multi-media projectors, a new gardening area and most recently their learning through play equipment. Joyce Samuel Primary School recently won the Primary School of the Year award and its head was named primary Principal of the Year in the BVI's Stars in Education awards.

"We are very proud to support this award winning school and look forward to working on their future projects," said  practice manager, Decoy Mactavious.
