Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that The Honourable Dennis O'Connor, QC, counsel at BLG, has been invested into the Order of Canada, as an Officer for his service to the legal profession, and for his commitment to justice as a commissioner of the Walkerton and Maher Arar inquiries.

"Dennis has dedicated his legal career to ensuring the rights of the Canadian public, whether through his work in the Walkerton Inquiry and the Maher Arar Inquiry, or through his volunteer involvement as Chair of Pro Bono Canada and his role on the Board of Directors of the Association of the Wrongfully Convicted Foundation," said Sean Weir, national managing partner and CEO at BLG. "He provides our firm with significant experience and insight, and we congratulate him on this very prestigious and well-deserved honour."
