Program Content:

When a company comes under investigation by regulators for noncompliance with state and/or federal laws or regulatory directives, the ultimate resolution often comes in the form of a settlement agreement, which requires a remediation effort by the subject company that can range from a change in business practices to restitution to customers. Oftentimes, an independent monitor is required for these remediation efforts. This webinar takes an in-depth look at the remediation process and the respective roles of in-house counsel and compliance practitioners on this issue.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain valuable insight into the remediation process and the challenges it presents
  • Understand your role in the process and how independent monitors are used
  • Recognize the value proposition of monitors and the effectiveness of their services
