Qatar: Clyde & Co Hosts First Education Roundtable Dinner In Doha
Last Updated: 5 July 2016

On 25 May Clyde & Co hosted its first Qatar based education roundtable dinner, at Hakkasan, St Regis. The dinner brought together key stakeholders in Doha's education sector to discuss current issues affecting schools.

The dinner was attended by a broad mix of Head Teachers, commercial school operators, investors, consultants and a senior member of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education regulatory team. The event was an intimate affair with 20 attendees taking part, and we look forward to hosting another roundtable event in Qatar after the Summer holiday season. At the dinner we launched our 'Employing thoughts' product, an employers' starter pack for Qatar Schools; this follows on from the successful launch of the same product in the UAE recently. The pack is intended to simplify the set up process by providing you with the initial documentation and information you will need as a Qatar employer. In relation to the dinner, Lee Keane of Clyde & Co's Qatar office said "I am thrilled with the cross section of the attendees and the fact that it included stakeholders who could contribute on a broad range of subjects" whilst Ross Barfoot of Clyde & Co's Abu Dhabi office who heads the MENA education sector said "the dinner gave attendees an opportunity to network in a social atmosphere and exchange views and the feedback from the attendees after the dinner was fantastic".

The Qatar dinner is the fourth education roundtable dinner we have hosted in the MENA region, with successful dinners hosted in Abu Dhabi and Dubai previously. Another Abu Dhabi roundtable dinner is being planned for October.
