Canada: Important Note
Last Updated: June 30 2016

It is currently anticipated that there may be a Canada Post strike in early July. This would affect the ability to send out necessary lien notices by mail and registered mail, as is the usual practice. Instead, notices may need to be delivered by courier or other forms of hand delivery. This has the potential to add time to the process. In order to assure that our office has sufficient time to take such steps (if needed), we are asking clients to provide instructions by the following dates for liens needing to be registered by July 29, 2016:

Form 14 Notice of Lien – July 6, 2016
Registration of Lien – July 20, 2016

Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions.
