Last Updated: 15 June 2016

Grand Cayman – (9 June, 2016) – Walkers is delighted to announce the admission of its 42nd Caymanian attorney at law.

The admission for Rebecca Peck was moved by Walkers Partner Colette Wilkins on 9 June, before The Hon. Mrs. Mangatal at the Grand Court in Cayman.

"We place great importance on the training of our articled clerks and Walkers wishes to congratulate Rebecca on her achievement. We are delighted to have another talented attorney at Walkers and we expect that she will prove to be a valuable asset to the profession in the Cayman Islands," said Antonia Hardy, Managing Partner of Walkers Cayman Islands office.

"The Walkers training programme is a rigorous test for any would-be lawyer and we are delighted to see that Rebecca has been admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar," commented Anthony Partridge, Senior Counsel and Chairman of Walkers' Trainee Committee.

Rebecca was the recipient of the 2012 Walkers Legal Scholarship. She attended Cayman Prep and High School where she completed her IGCSEs and then completed her A-Levels at Framlingham College, Suffolk in the UK. Rebecca was then selected to attend the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC and New York in the summer of 2008.

Articled to Colette Wilkins, Rebecca commenced her Articles with Walkers on 1 September 2014. Rebecca was also one of two Caymanian articled clerks that took part in the pilot year of the Chancery Bar Association Trainee Placement scheme in conjunction with the Caymanian Bar Association from May to July 2015 where she worked at Maitland Chambers in London and was assigned to Amanda Tipples QC. Rebecca completed her Articles on Monday 23 May 2016. We are very pleased to advise that Rebecca has accepted an offer to join the Investment Funds Group in Walkers' Cayman office, commencing on 1 August 2016, where she will focus on a broad range of hedge fund and private equity matters.

Rebecca is also very community minded and ran the Chicago Marathon in October last year, raising over $2,000 for Autism research.
