Jersey: Ogierís Head Of Dispute Resolution To Speak At Transcontinental Trusts Conference
Last Updated: 15 June 2016

Ogier's Head of Dispute Resolution, Rachael Reynolds, will join speakers at the upcoming Transcontinental Trusts conference in Geneva on 13 June. Now in its 31st year, it continues to be the longest running trusts event.

The three day event will see over 150 key attendees from across the globe discussing the latest issues and challenges affecting the trusts industry.

Rachael will be speaking on the first day of the conference which is dedicated to trust litigation and will be joined by Professor Jonathan Harris QC to discuss the firewall legislation in the Cayman Islands and other Offshore jurisdictions. Rachael will examine ways of penetrating the firewall and cases which have considered its scope and effect. The session will be attended by trustees, leading trusts lawyers and Judges, including the Honourable Justice David Hayton (the Caribbean Court of Justice) and the Honourable Justice Nick Segal (Cayman Islands Grand Court).

Based in Ogier's Cayman office, Rachael Reynolds has a particular focus on international trusts disputes and regularly acts for trustees, protectors and beneficiaries. She also has considerable experience in contentious restructuring and insolvency matters and is a member of the firm's Restructuring and Insolvency Group. Her practice regularly involves fraud and international asset tracing claims. She is recommended in Chambers Global 2016 as "a details person but never loses sight of the broader objective".
