United States: Strasburger Women Team Up To Serve Genesis Women’s Shelter
Last Updated: May 20 2016

Members of StrasburgerBOLDTM  from Dallas and Collin County, along with women from family law firm GoransonBain, recently spent their morning cooking and serving breakfast to women and children at Genesis Women's Shelter. Volunteers who attended the event included attorneys Katie Anderson, Amanda Loughmiller, Jennifer Justice, Christy Roseveare and Julie Biermacher of StrasburgerBOLD and Beth Maultsby, Anita Savage, Melissa Alamilla and Lene' Alley DeRudder from GoransonBain.

According to their website, Genesis Women's Shelter's mission "is to end the epidemic of domestic violence against women and children by stopping individual victimization and reducing the devastating impact of family violence through safety, shelter and expert services to battered women and their children. We are committed to preventing violence by raising the level of community awareness regarding the pervasiveness and effects of domestic violence."

After the event, Katie Anderson remarked, "The opportunity to serve was very meaningful and impactful to all that attended." Several of the women want to make this breakfast an annual tradition and develop other ways the women of StrasburgerBOLD" can support the shelter. They plan to meet soon to create a wish list outlining how the firm and StrasburgerBOLD" can assist with the worthy goals of this organization.

Strasburger appreciates and honors all the ways our attorneys serve others in their communities. This event was a fine example of the Strasburger Way in action.
