Australia: New board member appointed by Sparke Helmore Lawyers

Matthew Smith, Partner in the Workplace Group based in Brisbane, has been elected to Sparke Helmore Lawyers' Board. Matthew has considerable management experience, having served on the firm's Executive Committee and been the National Practice Group Leader for Workplace for many years.

"I congratulate Matthew on his appointment and look forward to working with him as a member of the Board in driving the firm's growth strategy and achieving our vision," said Mark Hickey, Sparke Helmore's Chairman of Partners. "In announcing Matthew's appointment, I also want to express my thanks to Ben Dube for his contribution to the Board," said Mark.

Ben Dube vacated his Board position to take on the National Government Group Leader role and join the firm's Executive Committee.
