United States: Drones: New Uses And Unique Legal Issues For Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Last Updated: April 29 2016

This program will address the cutting-edge legal, policy, and liability issues surrounding the dramatically increased design, manufacture, sale, and use of unmanned aircraft systems, or "drones." Approximately 1.6 million drones were sold in 2015, and another 600,000 are expected to be sold for commercial purposes this year. Safe and legal use of drones in the national airspace system is a high priority for industries that are expanding their drone use, including energy, construction, rail, entertainment, agriculture, and real estate. National security concerns are equally important for all commercial users, particularly entities that own or use vital transportation, shipping, or energy infrastructure.

Our speakers will include an authority on national security, along with attorneys experienced in all facets of aviation law, including regulatory compliance, governmental affairs, import and export control, and accident investigation and litigation.
