Isle of Man: DQ Attends Leading Global Fraud And Asset Tracing Conference
Last Updated: 20 April 2016

Leading offshore law firm DQ Advocates was represented at the C5 Fraud, Asset Tracing and Recovery Conference in Geneva in March 2016.

Stephen Dougherty, director and member of DQ's insolvency team, attended the conference which this year hosted over 250 fraud, asset tracing and recovery experts for the two day event. This was the 10th anniversary of the conference which is seen as one of the industry's "must attend" global events.

Stephen Dougherty commented:-

"As ever, C5 was a fascinating and interesting conference. The quality and experience of the speakers and delegates were superb. This year, speakers included Neal Levin (who also spoke at DQ's Global Tax Enforcement Conference in September 2015)  who kept the room enthralled with his high impact talk on Charles Ponzi and the psychology of the fraudster. Other speakers included UEFA's Director of Legal Affairs, Alasdair Bell, who provided a fascinating insight into the recent corruption scandal with FIFA, and David Molton of Brown Rudnick and Dominic Offord of Browne Jacobson on the Madoff Ponzi scheme scandal, seven years on. This is a must attend event for offshore insolvency specialists and DQ will certainly be supporting it and in attendance in the years to come."
