Guernsey: Marcus Leese Speaks On Family Offices At One Of Largest Trust Events In Guernsey
Last Updated: 15 April 2016

Private wealth specialist at Ogier, partner Marcus Leese, is among speakers at one of the largest trusts events in Guernsey tomorrow, 12 April.

The enduring role of offshore structures in times of change is the focus of the International Trusts & Private Client Forum: Guernsey 2016, which features more than 25 international speakers from across the spectrum of the industry.

Marcus joins a panel of experts discussing practical issues in building and running a family office.

Marcus said: "The issue of the establishing and operating family offices is both timely and relevant. Family offices have a much higher profile than ever before and more and more clients and intermediaries are considering their adoption and use. However, there remain many misconceptions regarding family offices and what they really can and cannot achieve. We hope to provide some clarity on the issues.

"The three panellists will each contribute to the dialogue based on their wide and varied experience as lawyers who have practised in a number of different jurisdictions both on and offshore, and who have advised clients from all over the world. Throughout the dialogue there will be opportunity for questions from the audience on each of the topics and on any related issues that may be of interest."
