It can be posited, in a somewhat tongue-in-cheek tone, that owning an airplane is the true litmus test of whether a person is a "high" net-worth individual (pun intended). The legal, corporate and tax issues related to airplane ownership are interesting and complex – Code Section 280F, MACRS under part 91 versus part 135, the special rules that apply to "fractional interest" ownership programs (such as the programs marketed by Flexjet and NetJet), the federal excise taxes on tickets and fuel, the eligibility to exchange airplanes "tax free" under Code Section 1031, and a variety of other "airplane unique" tax and business issues. This seminar will offer a technically sophisticated analysis of the many challenges that arise in connection with acquiring, owning, leasing and financing both commercial and private aircraft. Come one, come all to this very HIGH-END event, whether you currently own your own airplane, or merely plan to own one in the future.

All of the Tax Briefings 2016 are complimentary. Attendees will receive 2 hours of continuing education credit. A CPE Certificate will be available to attendees at the end of each briefing.
