United States: Latino Leaders Magazine Names Yesenia Gallegos Among The 25 Most Influential Hispanic Lawyers In The U.S.
Last Updated: February 22 2016

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Yesenia M. Gallegos has been named among the 25 most influential Hispanic lawyers in the U.S. by Latino Leaders Magazine, a national publication devoted to connecting and showcasing Latino/a leaders.

The distinction is accorded to American-based Latino/a attorneys who display leadership and strength both inside and outside the courtroom and who have demonstrated a strong commitment through their legal practice to the Latino/a community.

Active in the Latino legal and business community, Gallegos served as the Hispanic National Bar Association's (HNBA) Regional President for Southern California from 2013-2014 and received the HNBA's "Regional President of the Year" award in 2014 for her contributions in that role. Most recently, the HNBA's National President appointed Gallegos to the HNBA's Latina Commission, which was created in 2008 to study and remedy the status of Latinas in the legal profession who continue to suffer the lowest representation of any racial or ethnic group as compared to their overall presence in the nation.

Gallegos currently serves as co-chair of Fox Rothschild's Diversity Committee, wherein she oversees and participates in various initiatives aimed at the recruitment, retention and advancement of diverse attorneys. She is also an active speaker, and has spoken at national conferences on the topic of diversity in the legal profession and the topic of advancement in the legal profession by retaining mentors and sponsors. Known for her professional excellence, integrity, leadership and commitment to the legal and Latino/a community, Gallegos is seen as a mentor to other junior attorneys throughout the firm.

Gallegos focuses her practice on labor and employment matters and advises clients in areas such as restrictive covenants, wage and hour law, discrimination and harassment, executive employment agreements, leaves of absence, and high risk employee terminations. As a litigator, she represents employers in class actions and single plaintiff litigation in both federal and state court, and before state and federal administrative tribunals.

Gallegos received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
