Last Updated: 17 February 2016

Corrs was proud to host The Honourable Piyush Goyal in Sydney to discuss efficient coal based power generation and carbon capture

The exclusive roundtable focussed on the possibilities for collaboration between Australia and India in relation to the promotion of renewable energy and energy-related technologies - particularly in the area of gasification and carbon capture.

Minister Goyal, who was accompanied by a senior business delegation of leading Indian public and private Indian companies, delivered an address which highlighted the importance of clean coal technology, as well as continued dialogue between Australia and India in relation to energy security.

The event was hosted by Corrs, represented by Partners Robert Regan, Andrew Chew, and Senior Associate Arvind Dixit, in partnership with the Government of India, NSW Department of Industry and Austrade. Australian and Indian industry leaders, and the High Commissioner of India in Australia, Navdeep Suri, were in attendance.
