Canada: BLG's Lynn McGrade Elected As Chair Of The National Society Of Compliance Professionals

Toronto (December 8, 2015) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that the board of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP) has elected Lynn McGrade as chair for the upcoming year.

"We are pleased to have Lynn McGrade, a member of our Securities and Capital Markets team appointed to this key international organization," said Frank Callaghan, partner and national group head business law. "She is an accomplished lawyer and her election as Chair indicates the high regard her peers have for her skills."

Ms. McGrade has been involved in the creation of many investment products including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, segregated funds, hedge funds, closed-end funds and pooled fund products. She is also a recognized authority on securities registrant regulation, compliance and fund governance, and has extensive experience in merger and acquisition transactions in the investment industry.

"I am quite honoured to be the first Canadian chair of the National Society of Compliance Professionals," said Lynn McGrade, partner at BLG. Ms. McGrade first joined the NSCP in 2005 serving as the chair of NSCP Canadian Committee since 2012 and joining NSCP's Board of Directors in 2013.
