Canada: Borden Ladner Gervais Bolsters Its Industry-Leading Oil & Gas Team

Calgary (November 30, 2015) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Miles F. Pittman has joined the firm as a partner in the Oil & Gas Group. Miles provides strategic counsel on transactions and project development, including oil sands and LNG projects. He also has broad experience in commercial and corporate law and has played a lead role in significant restructuring transactions.

He graduated from McGill University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 1993. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 1994 and is past Chair of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation. He is also past Chair of the Natural Resources subsection of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta Branch. Miles is fluent in both English and French.

Miles is the Chair of the Alliance Française of Calgary, and is a director of the Contemporary Calgary Arts Society.
