Canada: BLG's Chidinma Thompson Receives A 2015 Women In Law Leadership Award

Calgary (November 13, 2015) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to congratulate Chidinma Thompson for receiving the Women in Law Leadership Award in the Tomorrow's Leader category on November 10, 2015. The awards were handed out at the Women in Law Leadership's fifth anniversary dinner.

"We are proud to see Chidinma recognized not just for her extensive accomplishments but also for her potential to be a leader in the legal community," said David Whelan, regional managing partner, BLG. "As a colleague, I get to see Chidinma's innovative approach to finding best solutions for our clients, which makes it gratifying to see others recognize her personal excellence."

Chidinma Thompson is the University of Calgary's first Ph.D in Law, which she received in 2014. She also received a Young Women in Energy Award.

The award for Tomorrow's Leader recognizes the accomplishments of a lawyer who was first called to the Bar within the last 10 years. The recipient of the award will have demonstrated significant growth, development and initiative throughout her first years of practice, and show great promise for superior legal capability and leadership potential through her actions and attitude.
