Program Content:

Reporting earnings for global employees can be quite complex. Issues range from determining home and host country payroll requirements, to finding the optimal dual payroll structure, to providing the proper cash flow where funds are needed. There are plenty of pitfalls along the way, including complying with withholding and remittance requirements in foreign locations, tracking benefits in kind and reporting assignment allowances. Working with a third-party vendor such as a service bureau or a professional employer organization (PEO) sometimes resolves these issues, but it may also create new and unforeseen obstacles.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how to properly report foreign employees working in the United States.
  • Discuss payroll reporting options in home and host countries.
  • Identify common year-end reporting pitfalls.
  • Identify obstacles with using third-party vendors such as service bureaus and PEOs.

Featured speakers:

  • John Neely, Manager, Global Mobility Services, Atlanta, Ga.
  • Bob Woodall, Director, Compensation and Benefits Consulting, Irvine, Calif.
