Last Updated: 15 August 2015

Sparke Helmore Lawyers is delighted to announce the promotion of Larissa Mepstead from Special Counsel to Partner in the CTP & Major Claims team, part of the Insurance Group in the Sydney office.

"It's exciting to welcome Larissa to the partnership. This is a well-deserved promotion and is a reflection of Larissa's exceptional abilities and her dedication to developing her practice," said James Johnson, Sparke Helmore's National Practice Group Leader Insurance.

Mark Hickey , the firm's Chairman, commented: "The firm is investing in a growth strategy to support our Insurance practice nationally. This involves both promotion of talented lawyers, such as Larissa, and the lateral hire of partners, such as Kerry Haddock who recently joined our workers' compensation team in Sydney. This is part of our commitment to enhance our nationally integrated firm to service our clients."

Larissa is an experienced insurance litigator with international experience and has been with the firm since 2006. She assists insurers to resolve CTP and major claims, often involving fraud issues, complex liability and multiple parties.
