Anguilla: Anguillian Officials to Attend 4th Annual International Trusts Forum

The Deputy Director of the newly formed Anguilla Financial Services Commission, Mr. Carlyle K. Rogers, and the Registrar of Companies with the Government of Anguilla (www.anguillafsc.com), Mr. Lanston Connor, will attend the 4th Annual International Trusts Forum. The two-day event from 24th to 25th February 2004, which will take place in London at the Crown Plaza – St. James Hotel, is being sponsored by Euromoney Seminars and will bring together around 100 trust professionals from around the world.

Mr. Rogers will present on the morning of 25th February 2004 on the topic: Regional Focus - A critical analysis of the Anguillian trust market. The following issues will be addressed during the 40 minute presentation.

  • Overview of trust legislation in Anguilla and the Act of 2000.
  • Different available trust licences and statutory trusts.
  • Evaluation of Anguilla's position within the international environment.
  • A comparison of the effect of regulatory change on Anguilla and others.
  • Future of the industry: A need to specialise services?

This will mark another opportunity for Anguilla to promote itself as a jurisdiction of choice for the 21st century.
