Jersey: The Door For Migrating Jersey Foundations Is Now Open
Last Updated: 7 July 2015

Collas Crill's Fiduciary Team is proud to announce that it has advised on the first ever migration of a foundation from Jersey to Guernsey.  As the States of Jersey had yet to designate  Guernsey Foundations as 'recognised entities' under The Foundations (Continuance) (Jersey) Regulations 2009, this lacuna had to be filled before the foundation could migrate.  The door for other Jersey Foundations to follow has now been opened; it has always been possible for Guernsey Foundations to migrate to Jersey.  Collas Crill is regarded as one of the leading firms for Foundations work across the Channel Islands in both the private wealth and philanthropic space.  For further information about this matter or any other Foundations matters please contact Angela Calnan in our Guernsey office or Kellyann Ozouf in our Jersey office.
