Australia: Profile on Melanie Dawe, Business Manager of Moore Stephens Adelaide
Last Updated: 22 May 2015

Now you can put a face to a name!

Meet our respected - and much loved - Business Manager, Melanie Dawe.

Melanie's name is synonymous with the daily management of our firm – encompassing Operations, Finance, Administration, I.T. and Human Resources.

Reporting to Managing Director Peppe Fusco, Melanie manages a team of staff whose primary task is to ensure the smooth running of the office; while her key focus is in Management Accounting.

"I really enjoy working in a Practice Management role due to its diversity and my job at Moore Stephens Adelaide certainly meets the brief," says Melanie.

She undertakes cost monitoring, budgets and cashflow; which enables her to facilitate efficiencies within the business.

Furthermore, the implementation of economies of scale across the board are par for the course, as Melanie is constantly reviewing Moore Stephens Adelaide's processes and procedures with her team.

One such improvement is the recent introduction of being able to receive your invoices from us by email (instead of by mail). To do so, please click here: e.moorestephens.com.au/survey.php e.moorestephens.com.au/survey.php

Melanie started her career in Tax Accounting from 1984 to 1997 and she then returned to the workforce (after starting a family) in Management Accounting across a range of industries including the Retail, Wholesale and Manufacturing industries, both in Australia and New Zealand.

"Moore Stephens is therefore a great fit for me", says Melanie, "being a mid-tier accounting firm in the CBD and part of a well-recognised global network."

After more than 7 years with our firm, she is looking forward to continually growing and developing in her management role.

Outside of work, Melanie is married to Peter and is the proud mum of two teenage daughters, Emily and Sophie. Melanie also likes to keep fit by playing competitive basketball at the Wayville Sports Centre and by having regular personal training sessions.
