Luxembourg: Carey Group Luxembourg Appoints Laurent Hengesch As Business Development Manager
Last Updated: 18 May 2015

Laurent joined Carey Group in April and is responsible for leading the business development function for the Luxembourg office of Carey Group. He will be involved in analysing and implementing strategies around market development and products to assist in the continued growth of the group's business.

Laurent, who is a native Luxembourger, studied economics in Berlin. After completing his studies he spent several years in the financial services industry based in Berlin and Paris. During his career he has focused on acting as an advisor to high net worth individuals and corporations, mainly from Eastern Europe, while working for private banks and family offices in Luxembourg, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Commenting on his appointment, Laurent said: "I am happy to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial business like Carey Group and working with my new colleagues from our other offices in Guernsey, Monaco, Geneva, Zurich and the UK. There is a huge amount of regulatory change affecting private individuals and corporations across Europe so it's an exciting time to join the Carey Group team where I will identify opportunities to assist potential new clients to navigate these challenges."

Barry Black, CEO of Carey Group's Luxembourg office noted that this appointment represents a further investment into Carey Group's expansion of its Luxembourg office: "We welcome Laurent to the team and look forward to him energetically assisting us in generating new business enquiries so as to further build upon our strong 2014 financial performance."
