Canada: Borden Ladner Gervais Expands Financing Expertise

Toronto (May 4, 2015) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) announced the addition of Lise Morisette as a partner in the firm's Banking and Financial Services Group. Ms. Morissette specializes in bank financing.

Based in Montréal, Ms. Morissette will be part of the national Banking and Financial Services Group. She will work on financing transactions involving syndicated and cross-border loans, project finance, real estate finance, asset-based lending, leasing, convertible debt, subordinated debt, equipment finance and derivatives. Her expertise also extends to venture capital and to commercial and corporate law. Ms. Morissette frequently represents chartered banks, asset-based lenders and other Canadian and foreign financial institutions, as well as borrowers in complex financing operations. She has led a large number of transactions involving both private and public companies in multiple industries.

Lise Morissette graduated from the Université de Montréal with a bachelor of law in 1992 and was called to the Québec Bar in 1994. Ms Morissette is a member of the Association of Québec Women in Finance.
