​Chris has been a strong voice for reform at the Law Society, and has supported governance reform, a more inclusive profession, improved access to justice including increased Pro Bono opportunities and the expansion of services to lawyers in small firms and communities. He is an accomplished litigator, and has devoted time to the public sector as an Assistant Deputy Minister during the Meech Lake and Charlottetown constitutional negotiations. Chris believes strongly in the importance of legal education - teaching at law schools, the bar admission course and continuing education programs - and is committed to enhancing access to justice.
