Canada: BLG Mental Health Law Article On Interim Treatment Orders

Barbara Walker-Renshaw, Partner in the Toronto Health Law Group and National Leader of BLG's Mental Health Law Practice has published an article in Health Law in Canada (February, 2015). Her article, entitled: "Interim Treatment Orders: Facilitating Treatment Pending Final Disposition of Treatment Capacity Appeals" explores the legal framework for determining a patient's capacity to consent to treatment and the manner in which appeals from Consent and Capacity Board decisions confirming treatment incapacity may affect a healthcare provider's ability to commence treatment.
