When WPS opened in June 2015, there were just ten employees; eight staff were based in the Cayman Islands, with just one employee located in each of the Dubai and Hong Kong offices. After five years, WPS has grown to a total of 126 employees across five offices, focusing on four key service lines globally (Corporate, Company Secretarial, Fiduciary, Compliance and Regulatory) with multiple sub-sets of further services under each.
Anne Dolan, Director of Corporate Services states, "During these unprecedented times, it is even more important to recognise the unwavering support of our clients and hard work and commitment of our people. WPS was launched because our clients wanted a full suite of corporate and fiduciary services that matched the market leading standards set by Walkers. In a relatively short period of time, we have risen to the challenge and are so proud of our team and what we have accomplished together."
Just over a year after the launch of WPS in the Cayman Islands, WPS Ireland was opened following six years of growth and the establishment of Walkers as a pre-eminent financial services law firm in Ireland.
Steven Manning, Director of Fiduciary Services states, "It has been really rewarding to watch WPS thrive since launching in 2015. We count some of the most notable and innovative corporate and institutional businesses across major financial centres as our clients, which is testament to the dedication of our global team. It is safe to say that WPS boasts some of the best professionals in the industry."
WPS later launched in Bermuda, before adding a new line of business to their service offering with the addition of Walkers Compliance and Regulatory Services. With offices now located in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Dubai, Hong Kong, Ireland and a branch office in Abu Dhabi, Walkers is able to deliver a truly global and seamless integration of legal, corporate, fiduciary and compliance services in real-time.
