September 6, 2017 - Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 435 to apply for Canadian permanent residence. The CRS cut-off threshold increased slightly by 1 point since the previous draw. A total of 2772 invitations were issued in the latest draw from the pool. The number of invitations issued decreased by 263 invitations from the last draw on August 23, 2017.

The CRS cut-off threshold of 435 remains consistent with recent Express Entry draws, which have tended to have thresholds around the mid-430s. The recent changes to the CRS were implemented on June 6, 2017. Following these changes, the CRS thresholds were slightly higher, hovering near the mid-400s. It was expected that the CRS threshold would go up temporarily to allow for the fact that some candidates in the pool, specifically bilingual and candidates with siblings residing in Canada, received a boost in their score last month.
