February 22, 2017 - Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,611 people to apply for Permanent Residence to Canada through Express Entry. The number of invitations decreased slightly by 55 invitations compared to the last draw on February 8, 2017 and the lowest qualifying score was 441, a drop of 6 points from the last round.

What does this mean for you? It is very good news if you have the Canadian equivalent of a Masters degree, are around 30 years old with 3 years of foreign work experience, and score as fluent in English or French.  If this is your situation, then you will likely be able to receive an  Invitation to Apply under the Express Entry system given that the lowest qualifying score is now only 441 points.   If you would like more information about Express Entry, or require assistance in preparing a profile,  please contact  Green and Spiegel.
