The Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship Program will reopen on
January 3, 2017. Last year, the program cap of 10,000 applications
was met shortly after reopening on January 4, 2016 and many
applications were returned once the cap was met. This very popular
program permits Canadian citizens and permanent residents to
sponsor parents or grandparents to immigrate to Canada as permanent
residents.
Green and Spiegel will continue to monitor this program and will
provide updates when they become available. We recommend that you
contact our office now to set up an appointment for a consultation
to ensure that we have enough time to prepare an application that
will be successful. To determine your eligibility and to begin the
application process, please
contact us directly.
