The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) announced in OSC Staff Notice 45-714 Summaries of Exempt Distribution Information that the OSC will be posting select data regarding private placements based on exempt distribution filings made by issuers with the OSC. The data will include information such as the date and time the report of exempt distribution was filed with the OSC, the issuer's name, the distribution date, the funds raised in Ontario and the number of purchasers in Ontario. This data is similar to the information that has historically been reported in Chapter 8 of the weekly OSC Bulletin.
The summaries will be posted on a regular basis on the OSC's website in Excel format at: http://www.osc.gov.on.ca/en/exempt-distributions-summary.htm.
