As previously discussed, as of October 29 Ontario's Employment Standards Act, 2000 (the ESA) will be amended to include "family caregiver," "critically ill child care," and "crime-related child death and disappearance" leaves of absence. These new leaves will be in addition to the leaves of absence already mandated under the ESA, including "family medical leave."
