The Ontario government asked this question in its May 2013
budget, and requested the Ontario Securities Commission to look
into it. The result so far is a consultation paper which seeks
comments on effective ways to increase the number of women on
boards or in senior management positions, related disclosure
requirements and best practices. The comment period closes on 27
September.
